Since it is self-priming, the Grundfos Scala2 3-45 can draw water from below pump level, provided it has been primed. It can pump water from a depth of up to 8 meters in less than 5 minutes.

This ensures easy setup, operation, and reliable water supply in installations where dry running or suction leaks may occur.

If the pump experiences dry running, water shortage, overheating, blockage, seizure, or overload, it will automatically shut down to prevent motor burnout.

With its hydraulic design, permanent magnet motor, and water cooling system, the pump operates at an extremely low noise level—47 dB(A) under typical usage, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Maximum noise level at full load is 53 dB(A).
