Hydrophore Expansion Tank, 24 Liters Horizontal
The expansion tank is used in hydrophore systems where city water pressure is insufficient and in closed system heating installations to prevent damage to the installation by absorbing the pressure from the expanded water.
They are also utilized in heating systems (Operating Temperature -10°C / +99°C).
In buildings, expansion tanks are used in hydrophores to provide pressurized water supply and to prevent the pump from frequent start-stop cycles.
Energy savings are achieved in hydrophore systems by controlling the pump activation with the hydrophore pressure switch adjustment. Proper hydrophore calculations ensure efficient and long-lasting pump operation.
The tank needs to be re-pressurized every 6 months with air. A pressure of 1.5 bar is sufficient.
The product contains a membrane. If the membrane is subjected to excessive pressure, debris, etc., it may puncture and require replacement. The membrane is considered a consumable and is not covered under warranty.
Before shipping, the air pressure of the product is checked.
The product can withstand a maximum pressure of 8 bar (The pump pressure should not exceed 8 bar).
